You do not need to pay for a metal building in one lump sum. Most buyers choose one of two routes: financing (a loan) or rent-to-own (RTO). They solve the same problem in different ways, and the right one depends on your credit, your timeline and how much you want to pay in total.
Omega offers both. Loans are available through Lyon Financial, HFS Financial and Shoreham Bank (subject to credit approval), and rent-to-own through RTO National and EZ Pay with no credit check. You can run the numbers on our financing page.
How financing works
You borrow money from a lender, the lender pays for the building, and you repay with interest in monthly payments. You own the building from the start.
What to expect:
- A credit check and approval process
- A fixed term and interest rate
- Typically a lower total cost than rent-to-own, because you are borrowing at an interest rate rather than paying a rental premium
- Possible down payment and fees
How rent-to-own works
With rent-to-own, you make payments over a set period, and you own the building when the payments are complete, or sooner if you use an early purchase option.
What to expect:
- No credit check with the providers Omega works with, so approval is simpler
- Faster, easier approval for people rebuilding credit or without a credit history
- Payments that add up to more than the building's cash price, since the provider takes on more risk
- Terms and early-buyout options that vary by provider

| Typical total cost | Lower | Higher |
| Ownership | From day one | When the agreement is complete, or at buyout |
| Best for | Good or fair credit, lowest total cost | Little or no credit history, or fast approval |
| Early payoff | Often possible, check for penalties | Often possible through a buyout. Check the terms. |
How to decide
Ask yourself:
- Can I get approved for a loan at a rate I like? If yes, financing usually costs less overall.
- Do I need a decision now, without a credit check? Rent-to-own may be the practical route.
- Can I afford to pay it off early? If so, either option can work. Check the early-payoff terms first.
- What is the total I will pay? Compare the full amount, not just the monthly payment.
Questions to ask before signing anything
- What is the total I will pay over the full term?
- Is there an early-purchase or early-payoff option, and what does it cost?
- What happens if I miss a payment?
- Are there fees, deposits or delivery charges outside the payment?
- Who owns the building during the term?
Ask for the answers in writing. Terms are set by the provider, so confirm them before you sign.
Think about the whole project
Financing the building is one cost. You may also have a slab, permits and site prep. Add them up first. Our posts on what drives metal building cost and concrete slab requirements can help you build a complete budget.
FAQ
Can I get a metal building with bad credit?

Does rent-to-own build my credit?
That depends on the provider and whether they report payments. Ask before you sign.
Can I pay off a rent-to-own building early?
Many agreements include an early buyout. Confirm the terms with the provider.
